Makita DPB182 18v LXT Cordless Bandsaw
The Makita DPB182 is a compact 18v cordless bandsaw designed for cutting metal materials in both fixed and overhead positions. Part of Makita's LXT platform, this portable bandsaw is compatible with all Makita 18v LXT lithium-ion batteries, making it ideal for electricians, plumbers and mechanical contractors working on site installations.
The rigid aluminium construction delivers stable, accurate cutting performance whilst keeping the tool lightweight enough for extended use. A protective wheel cover encloses the blade outside the cutting area, enabling safe one-handed operation when working in confined spaces or overhead applications. The tool-less blade change system allows quick blade replacement without additional tools, minimising downtime between tasks.
This bandsaw is particularly suited to cutting conduit, copper pipe, threaded rod, angle iron and channel up to 64mm diameter. The anti-slip elastomer handle surface provides secure grip in all working positions, whilst an integrated LED job light illuminates the cutting area in poorly lit environments. The simple screw-adjustment system for blade tracking ensures optimal blade performance and extended blade life.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
