The Makita DSP601 is a professional 36V cordless plunge saw designed for precise cutting in timber, sheet materials and engineered wood products. Powered by two 18V LXT batteries running in series, this 165mm brushless plunge saw delivers the performance of a corded tool with complete freedom of movement on site.
The efficient brushless motor provides extended runtime and increased durability, whilst the Automatic Torque Drive Technology intelligently adjusts cutting speed according to load conditions for optimal performance in varied materials. Variable speed control from 2,500 to 6,300rpm allows you to match blade speed to the application, whilst soft start and electronic brake features enhance user safety and control.
This plunge saw offers exceptional cutting depth of 56mm at 90 degrees and bevels from -1° to 48° with positive stops for quick, repeatable angled cuts. The integrated Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) connects to compatible Makita dust extractors via Bluetooth, automatically starting extraction when you pull the trigger and stopping when you release it for efficient dust management on site.
Guide rail compatible for precise straight cuts, the DSP601 includes a depth stopper for splinter-free cutting and arrives complete with wireless unit and robust MakPac carry case. Please note this is a bare unit - batteries and charger sold separately.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.

A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
