Makita DUT130 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Paddle Mixer
The Makita DUT130 is an 18v cordless paddle mixer designed for efficient mixing of materials on site without the constraints of a power cable. Powered by Makita's LXT lithium-ion battery system, this brushless mixer delivers reliable performance for tilers, plasterers and contractors working with adhesives, grouts, levelling compounds and similar materials.
The brushless motor technology provides enhanced efficiency and longevity compared to traditional brushed motors, whilst the two mechanical gears offer versatile speed control for different mixing applications. Low gear delivers 0-350 rpm for controlled stirring of lighter materials, whilst high gear reaches 0-1300 rpm for more demanding mixing tasks. The variable speed trigger allows precise control within each gear range, and the soft start function prevents splashing when beginning the mixing process.
Practical features include a splash guard to minimise mess, a lock-on function for sustained mixing operations, and an ergonomic soft-grip handle for comfortable use during extended periods. The M14 spindle thread accepts paddles up to 165mm diameter, providing good capacity for site mixing tasks. Please note: this mixer is not suitable for mixing plaster.
The DUT130Z is supplied as a bare unit without battery, charger or carry case, making it an economical choice for tradespeople already invested in the Makita 18v LXT battery platform.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
