Makita HR2470 3 Mode SDS Plus Hammer Drill

The HR2470 is a three mode SDS Plus rotary hammer drill which can be used for hammer drilling, rotary only drilling, or hammering only (chiselling). The machine is equipped with forward and reverse modes, lock on switch, an adjustable auxiliary handle, a depth stop and an adjustable chisel position control which enables flat chisels and similar accessories to be installed at the optimum angle before commencing demolition work.

A professional SDS hammer drill, the HR2470 has a mechanical safety clutch which is designed to disengage if hidden objects like rebar are struck whilst drilling. This helps to protect the operator and machine against violent twisting if the bit jams at high speed. Additional benefits include widely available, user replaceable carbon brushes for easy servicing and a long lifetime.
