This is the bare unit version of the Makita UR008G 40v Max XGT Cordless Brushless Linetrimmer, supplied without batteries or charger. Ideal for professionals and frequent users who already own Makita XGT batteries, this option offers excellent value whilst maintaining all the advanced features of this premium linetrimmer. The package includes everything needed to get started except the power source, making it perfect for expanding your XGT cordless tool collection.
The UR008G delivers exceptional cutting performance with a 430mm cutting diameter and three adjustable speed settings up to 6,000 rpm on high speed. The included nylon cutting head, shoulder belt, and accessory bag ensure you're ready for immediate use once you add your existing XGT batteries. The ergonomically designed loop handle with rubberised soft grip provides comfortable control during extended trimming sessions, whilst the IPX4 water-resistant construction ensures reliable operation in typical outdoor conditions.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
