The Makita UV001G 40v Max XGT Cordless Brushless Scarifier (bare unit) is the ideal choice for professionals and keen gardeners who already own XGT batteries and chargers within the Makita ecosystem. This bare unit configuration allows you to expand your cordless tool collection without duplicating batteries and chargers, delivering excellent value.
Powered by Makita's advanced brushless motor and XGT technology, this scarifier effectively removes thatch, moss, and debris from lawns up to 38cm wide in a single pass. The adjustable working depth range from -12mm to +5mm provides exceptional control for both thatching and vertical cutting operations. The ergonomic design with adjustable handle height ensures comfortable operation for users of different statures, whilst the low vibration characteristics minimise fatigue during extended use.
The generous 50L collecting box capacity reduces interruptions, and when storage space is at a premium, the foldable design reduces dimensions to just 550 x 680 x 640mm. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
