Rust Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar

Rust-Oleum 5180 Epoxy Repair Mortar is a two-component epoxy resin mortar designed for the permanent repair of damaged, dished, or hazardous concrete and stone floors.

Formulated to deliver exceptional hardness and bonding strength, this repair mortar cures to a finish that exceeds the structural integrity of concrete itself. It is well suited to a wide range of repair scenarios, including badly cracked or worn floor surfaces, broken steps, damaged bay edges, and floor nosings. Its versatility allows it to fill holes and gaps of any shape or size, and it can be feather edged for a seamless result.

The product is fast curing with a working life of 30 to 60 minutes depending on ambient temperature, making it a practical choice for contractors working in occupied or operational environments. Surface preparation is straightforward, requiring a clean, dry substrate free from coatings, grease, and loose material. For very smooth or laitance-affected concrete, etching with a suitable solution prior to application is recommended.

Mixing involves combining the granular resinous material with the supplied curing agent. Thorough mixing is essential, and mixing of part packs is not recommended as the resin-to-curing-agent ratio is critical to performance.
