The Sealey VSE4816 is a specialist petrol engine timing tool kit designed specifically for Mercedes 1.6 and 1.8 M271 engines, providing professional workshops with the precision tools needed for timing chain service and replacement procedures.
This comprehensive kit includes a timing chain tensioner wedge essential for safely releasing oil pressure from the hydraulic timing chain tensioner. A dedicated timing chain tensioner drift is provided to correctly refit the blanking plug back into the crankcase after removing the chain tensioner, ensuring proper reassembly. The included T100 star bit allows removal of the camshaft sprocket fixing bolts, covering the complete timing procedure requirements.
