Q : Dear Sir/Madam, Can these be safely used with western cedar battens without reacting with the tannic acid of this wood to cause black stains or are these not 100% stainless steel? Do you have A4 versions of these spax screws? Thanks
A : Hi Stephen, it appears that Spax don't currently manufacture any of their Facade screws out of A4 stainless and I can only see them listed in A2. Their specifications list these screws as being made from 1.4567 stainless steel which unfortunately doesn't mean too much to me but that will hopefully enable you to identify whether or not they are suitable - if not you may be able to get more information from Spax if you try contacting them directly through the contact details on their website.
