Conforming to British Standard BS8020:2002, this insulated shovel is individually tested to 1,000 volts, making it suitable for electricians, utility workers, and contractors who need to excavate safely around buried cables and live services. Each shovel comes with an individual Certificate of Conformity and is marked with a unique traceability number, providing a clear compliance record for site safety requirements.

The polyfibre shaft offers excellent resistance to oil, chemicals, and water, making it well suited to demanding site conditions. An integrated hand stop prevents the hand from slipping forward onto the forged head during use, while rounded corners on the blade reduce the risk of accidental damage to buried pipes and cables. Round bar treads are fitted to assist with foot pressure when digging through compacted ground.
