Spear and Jackson Neverbend Open Socket Square Mouth Contractors Shovel

The Spear and Jackson Neverbend Open Socket Square Mouth Contractors Shovel is a robust, general-purpose digging shovel built for demanding site work and everyday contracting tasks.

Constructed with a high-quality carbon steel head, the blade is finished in a clear polyester powder coat varnish that helps protect against rust and weathering — extending the working life of the tool across outdoor and on-site conditions. The square mouth profile makes it well suited to scooping loose materials, shifting aggregates, and general groundwork where a flat-edged blade offers a practical advantage.

The long ash hardwood handle provides extra reach and comfortable leverage, making it a dependable choice for landscaping, civil engineering, and general site clearance. This shovel easily passes the BS3388 Load Test, confirming it meets the recognised British Standard for hand tools of this type and giving contractors confidence in its structural integrity under working loads.
