I had a few fence posts that needed replacing. I had been putting it of because of digging the new holes. I needn’t have worried. This trench shovel made very light work of them, cut through roots and all.

Q : Hi Can you use this tool to chop roots ? Thank you
A : Hi Sandra, I imagine you will be able to chop into roots as well as any other spade or shovel, although it's not designed for that per se - I'm not sure on your exact situation but a compact pruning saw or even a powered reciprocating saw can be useful for removing stubborn roots when you need to get through them
Q : Is the blade curved? Thankyou
A : Hi Sheila, yes - the ones we have in the warehouse have a curved blade. Its a fairly gentle curve, so not semicircular or anything. Hope that helps!
