The Spear and Jackson Post Hole Auger is a manual ground drilling tool designed for creating straight-sided holes for fence posts, signs and garden structures. This robust hand auger features a carbon steel corkscrew head that cuts cleanly through soil to produce neat 155mm (6") diameter holes, ideal for standard wooden fence posts and similar applications.

Built for durability and ease of use, the auger combines a tubular steel T-bar construction with a 410mm (16") wide wooden handle that provides excellent leverage for generating the torque needed to penetrate compacted ground. The hardened tip ensures easier initial penetration, reducing the effort required to start each hole.
