Spear and Jackson Tarmac Rake

The Spear and Jackson Tarmac Rake is a heavy-duty contractor's rake designed specifically for laying and spreading tarmac and asphalt on road and surfacing projects.

The 385mm carbon steel head features 16 round teeth, providing a wide working sweep that allows contractors to spread and level material quickly and efficiently. Carbon steel construction ensures the head can withstand the demands of regular use in tough site conditions.

A key design consideration for any tarmac rake is protecting the shaft from heat damage. The extra-long tang and socket keep the tubular steel shaft a safe distance from hot tarmac and asphalt surfaces, helping to extend the working life of the tool. At 1750mm overall length, it provides a comfortable working reach without excessive bending.
