Trend Air Pro Max PAPR APF40 Powered Respirator

The Trend Air Pro Max PAPR APF40 is a powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) helmet offering combined head, eye, and respiratory protection in a single unit. Designed for tradespeople and contractors working in environments with fine airborne particles, flying debris, or head impact risks, it carries an Assigned Protection Factor of APF40 — providing a high level of respiratory protection without the need for face fit testing.

Respiratory protection is delivered via a positive pressure, fan-driven filtered air supply at 220 litres per minute (minimum 170 l/min), making it suitable for users with facial hair or those who wear spectacles. The panoramic polycarbonate visor meets BS EN 166:2002 for medium energy impact, offering protection against high-speed particles and liquid droplets and splashes (optical class 1B3). Head protection complies with EN 397:2012+A1:2012, meeting HSE on-site hard hat regulations for falling objects and general head impacts.

Two 4-hour lithium-ion batteries allow for extended use throughout the working day, with a 2-hour charge time keeping downtime to a minimum. The cordless, battery-powered design eliminates trailing leads, and the padded adjustable head harness with soft elasticated facial cuff ensures comfortable wear across a full shift. Optional clip-in ear defenders are available separately for additional protection in high-noise environments.
