Trend Contractor One Piece Hinge Jig

The Trend Contractor One Piece Hinge Jig is a router jig designed for accurately recessing hinges in timber doors and frames using a plunge router.

Engineered for use on-site and in joinery shops, this hinge jig eliminates the need for conventional marking out. The hinge itself is used as the pattern for quick and simple set-up, reducing preparation time and improving consistency across multiple doors.

The jig features four apertures to meet fire door requirements and is suitable for both inside and outside doors, rebated frames, and fixed stops up to 25mm thick. Angled position slots prevent creep during routing, ensuring clean, accurate recesses every time. Compatible with square butt hinges and timber-based doors, it works with a light duty plunge router fitted with a 1/4" collet. A long reach router cutter is required — 12mm diameter with 70mm overall length.
