The Trend Diamond Whetstone Honing and Sharpening Kit is a comprehensive sharpening system designed for carpenters, joiners, and woodworkers who need to maintain a precise, razor-sharp edge on chisels, plane blades, and carving tools.

The kit centres on an 8 x 3 inch fine diamond bench stone, which delivers the precision flatness needed to flatten chisel backs and plane blades efficiently. The fine grit is well suited to finishing carving tools and can also be used to sharpen spindle knives in-house. The stone comes with a fabric tool holder, cleaning block, and non-slip mat.

The included honing guide takes the guesswork out of sharpening by maintaining the correct bevel angle throughout the process. Its alloy body and precision roller self-centre to clamp chisels from 10mm to 32mm and plane irons up to 60.3mm wide, with preset settings at 25°, 30°, 35°, and 40°. Note: not suitable for firmer chisels or short blade (butt) chisels.

Lapping fluid is included in place of water, reducing the risk of rusting by 95% and helping to prevent clogging while improving diamond abrasive performance. The kit also includes a honing compound bar and leather strop for polishing sharpened edges to a mirror finish, along with a sharpening booklet covering router bits, sawblades, planes, and knives.
