Trend Roughing Spiral Phenolic Router Cutter

The Trend Roughing Spiral Phenolic Router Cutter is a solid carbide spiral roughing tool designed for machining hard and abrasive composite materials, including phenolics, carbon fibre, fibreglass, and Trespa.

Engineered with a unique multi-flute grinding geometry, this cutter is built for high-volume material removal in demanding applications. Its special grade carbide construction ensures durability when working with the abrasive composites that would quickly wear standard tooling.

The downcut spiral configuration pushes chips downward during cutting, which improves clamping security when machining smaller workpieces and produces a cleaner finish on the top face of the board. This makes it particularly well-suited to CNC router workflows where workpiece movement must be minimised.

Important: This is a roughing tool intended for bulk material removal only. It produces a rough cut edge and must be followed by a separate finishing cutter for a clean result. Plunge cutting is not recommended — always ramp the cutter into the workpiece.

Suitable for use on both hand-held routers and CNC routers.
