Unlike fixed-size spanners, the 7880 Joker XXL automatically adjusts to the required size as it is applied to the fastener, meaning a single tool effectively replaces several individual spanner sizes. The continuous, parallel jaws self-set upon contact, while an integrated lever mechanism clamps securely onto the hexagon head to significantly reduce the risk of slippage or fastener damage.

The built-in mechanical ratchet function allows fast, consistent tightening without the need to remove and reposition the tool between turns. Using the corner-width rectangular prisms within the jaw, a return angle of just 30° is achievable — particularly useful when working in restricted spaces. A laser-engraved, abrasion-proof QR code is included to help determine the correct torque value for the wrench and insert combination in use.
