Bahco Hand Taper Saw File
The Bahco Hand Taper Saw File is a precision triangular file designed for sharpening handsaws with 60° tooth angles. Featuring a traditional taper profile, this professional-grade file provides accurate sharpening for saws with universal teething patterns.
Manufactured by Bahco, this 150mm (6in) taper saw file features single cut surfaces and edges, delivering controlled material removal during the sharpening process. The triangular cross-section tapers towards the point, allowing access to gullets between teeth whilst maintaining the correct filing angle.
With 17 teeth per centimetre and available exclusively in second cut grade, this file strikes an effective balance between stock removal and surface finish. The 12.5mm width makes it suitable for sharpening a range of hand saw types where precise tooth geometry is essential for optimal cutting performance.
Ideal for carpenters, joiners and woodworkers who maintain their own hand saws, this taper file is particularly suited to traditional woodworking saws requiring regular attention to maintain cutting efficiency.
