Black and Decker A6171 Genuine Line for Reflex Grass Trimmers

I have found that some cheaper alternatives don't perform anywhere near as good as black and decker line for their grass trimmers/strimmers. Cheap stuff can fray into strands which is very frustrating; I have had to throw some cheaper lines away in times past. "You get what you pay for" is apt in this circumstance. To wind the line onto the machine's spool I get a broom handle, or similar, and mount the handle horizontally (perhaps pushing one end into a bush) and put the A6171 spool onto it such that the A6171 revolves freely. I then take the line and feed it onto the machine's spool as instructed. Then, keeping the line tension fairly tight between the two spools, turn the machine's spool with the hands/fingers so as to wind the line from one spool to the other in the direction indicated - keeping a neatly wound line on the machine's spool (rather than criss-crossing it). There will be no finger contact with the line itself in the winding process. N.B. Holding and winding the line with fingers onto the machine's spool while holding that spool rigid doesn't work well as the line (between the two spools) twizzles badly. It's the spool that needs to turn.

Does what it says on the packet. I find the string wire easily breaks off. Had better than this.
