It's a replacement strimmer reel and cover for the cost of the line only. If it fits your strimmer model it's a bargain. Original B & D design is not very robust so you will probably need the replacement cover.

Q : Hi. Does this product come with a spool cap and spring?
A : Hi Peter, yes this comes as a complete assembly with the orange spool cap as pictured and also the spring (which you can't see in the image)
Q : I am trying to find a replacement cap for my Black and Decker grass trimmer model STC 5433 PCB-X5. Can you advise please. Unfortunately I have already purchased one which was said to be for my model but it does not fit. Help. Thank you.
A : Hi Shirley, I'm afraid we don't stock it, though we only really stock a very small handful of spare parts like these. I'd say your best bet would be to contact Black & Decker directly if you haven't done so already? They have a spares and repairs service (which you can find on their UK website) and I think they should be able to supply all the replacement parts for this machine as it's still in production.
Q : Does this spool fit a GL652 model ?
A : Hi Kevin, the replacement spool Black & Decker recommend for the GL652 is the A6441 on product ID 21005991, though I'm guessing if you're looking at this model you're after the spool cap as well. Although there is some crossover between the two in regards to compatibility, they don't mention the GL652 as being compatible with the A6442, and for that reason I'm guessing the cover probably doesn't fit it. (however the A6441 will do the job if all you need is the line)

A : Hi Delyth, unfortunately as that model is quite old its difficult to confirm whether this will be compatible or not - by the sounds of it the spool inside should fit into a Type 1 GL315, but the spool cap is a different shape and can't be used as a replacement. However if you want to try and get further clarification, you'll probably be best off speaking to Black & Decker directly and hopefully they will be able to advise
Q : will this model fit a GL350 thank you
A : Hi John, as mentioned in a previous answer you would need an A6441 spool or an A6488 (which is the complete version) - we stock the A6441 on product ID 21005991 but unfortunately the A6488 is not something we are able to supply.
Q : Would this fit a GL546?
A : Hi there, yes this is a suitable replacement spool for the Black & Decker GL546
Q : Will A6442 spool fit reflex plus GL 546
A : Hi there, yes this spool is suitable for that machine
Q : Will this fit a gl690
A : The GL690 is an older model which I'm not familiar with - it would appear to use this type of line although having found the manual online it says to replace the spool with the A6441 which we also stock (product 21005991) - I can't find much hard evidence that either will fit unfortunately (and at least one report that the A6441 doesn't fit) but if there's an old spool on there you will hopefully be able to thread a new line on to it if the spool turns out to be incompatible?
Q : Hi, Would this spool fit a Model GL350
A : Looking at the manual for your machine you would need an A6441 spool or an A6488 complete
