Overall I am pleased with the batteries that I purchased for a B & D lawnmower. I decided to buy two as I have quite a lot of lawn and (rightly) assumed that one battery would not last long enough. If you do run out of battery power be prepared for a long wait to recharge as it takes approx 3 hours 45 minutes. (This lost it a star on the features section of rating !) The batteries power my lawn mower very well on all grass lengths - but obviously the tougher the job, the quicker the power is used. I am hoping that the batteries have a long life as they have been an expensive part of my purchase (hence the 4 stars for value for money). Smaller batteries that I have for a strimmer and hedge trimmer have lasted very well so it is likely that these will too.

An update on my original review. Almost exactly a year on and one of the batteries has died a death, so now I am going to have to purchase a replacement plus a spare as I can't risk the 2nd one giving up. All the more annoying as I was halfway through lawn cutting so I will now have to wait over 3 hours for the remaining one to recharge before I can finish mowing. Very frustrating as I love the mower - probably the best I have ever owned but if this keeps happening it is going to end up an overly expensive piece of equipment to run.
