Does what it claims and a bit more. I use it to remove big woody stems from our field hedge. Loppers are beaten by size. Hedge cutters, bow saws and chain saws don't cope because the stems move about. The 'gator traps and destroys. Grrrr!

Phenomenal product. After my paraffin burner to start bonfires it is the best product i've ever bought. we use this pretty much every day during the summer and have had it 3 years and have replaced the battery fro about £30 once. Haven't needed any yet but parts are very cheap and easy to find. happily cuts branches unto about 5 inches wide. If you can get access to both sides then you can cut possibly a 8 inch branch. with reasonable expectations you can cut roughly 30 inch or 60 3 inch boughs. Its not a chain saw as such, so has some limitations, but for going around the garden cutting off branches quickly and efficiently its a godsend. Highly recommend.

For what is basically a small chainsaw the product did exactly what I believed it would do. It had its limitations, but was clearly the right tool for me. I used it along with several other tools for maintaining a very large and long laurel hedge, where it was used to trim branches between 30mm and 60mm.

Brilliant design and feels much safer than a normal chainsaw to use. However i have bought 2 of these and both of them have suffered motor failues and had to be thrown away. I was very careful not to overload these saws and therefore could not recommend one due to the very short lifespan of a few hours of use for me.
