Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Product has been used for its first time and has performed without any problems.When I bought it I thought it had a battery recharging problem and tooled up were very helpful over a few phone calls,but it turned out the battery just needed a bit of extra charging to revive it to it's full potential and now it is performing 100 percent efficient.Would definitely recommend this product.
Brilliant tool it will allow me to reach those inaccessible branches from ground level. Would highly recommend Tooled Up - quick delivery and pleasant service.
Box says it extends to 4.5m, not the 2.5m in the item description. It comes with a centre section for the pole which increases the reach considerably. Not used in anger yet so hard to tell whether the weight will be controllable when full extended. Would benefit from a sling to support the weight like some of the competitive products. Appears nicely made but time will tell. NB The chain tension securing bolts are not tight on receipt! So not run until tensioned and tightened!
I am so pleased with this pruner. I needed to take down a spikey frizzea near the neighbours fence. I'm in my 70's and struggled with a petrol chain saw so thought I'd give this a go. It is brilliant. The length meant I could get to the branches from the ground. The fibreglass poles flex a little which is probably good and you have to work it a little while cutting, it doesn't 'pull' itself into the cut like more powerful saws. It is n 18V unit and as such you can't rush it but it did what I wanted and battery life is remarkable. I've been hard on 4 star performance because it didn't struggle and I cut 4" branches but you have to wait for it. I don't know how else I would have done this job because it is so easy to use. Really good quality well made product and excellent price.
This is my 2nd b&d pole pruner in 9 years ,no problems with the first one it is still working apart from ( blunt chain needs a new one) so purchased this same b&d pole pruner, to renew chain is quite expensive. The battery on this model is lighter in weight than my old green model. Same good performance, please do remember to tighten hex screws with allen key before using this product. I recommend this product hopefully it will last as long as my 1st black and decker which is a green pole pruner still working 9 years old. Product is reasonably quiet, extends easily, an extra length is provided. Charger included and takes approx 4 hours to charge fully. Run time depends on the thickness of branch. I recommend purchasing a spare battery for continuity.
