Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
Black & Decker Dualvolt
Black & Decker 54v Dualvolt is the new Black & Decker dual voltage system. A 54v Tool can only use 54v batteries, however your new Black & Decker 54v Dualvolt battery is fully compatible with all Black & Decker 18v Li-ion Power Tools as it is capable of stepping into 18v mode for this purpose. So upgrading to 54v means you can still make use of your 18v power tool range. 54v batteries are currently available in 4.5ah (18v mode) / 1.5ah (54v mode) & 7.5ah (18v mode) / 2.5ah (54v mode).

I am not able to give this product a full review, as when I received it the battery was faulty, so it had to be returned. However Tooled-Up were excellent with the return & with their overall service, I'm sure the product would have been very good, but as I say I was not able to test it at all, shame! Many thanks!
Really well performing budget battery powered hedge trimmer. Longer trimmer than most others in the category , battery seems to last above average, and build quality seems good.
Bought these hoping they would be lighter than petrol and to try the new lithium battery (I had the old strap to your body type a few years ago).Very impressed !they cut everything I cut with petrol but no sore shoulder starting them ,no petrol spillage and they don't make your ears bleed if you can't find the ear defenders!Didn't seem very good on soft new growth leylandii until read symbols and noticed blade held 45 degree angle to hedge.This makes huge difference!Thought it would make for a wavey hedge but it didn'tGood straight lines.Battery charges very quickly and best of all fits all other existing black and decker tools .So impressed decided to get pole hedge trimmers and considering leafblower and possibly other tools.
Looked amazing unfortunately didn’t work battery didn’t charge so sent back and refunded now looking everywhere for a hedge trimmer
