Bosch Expert PRO BLUE 18v EXBA18V-80 Cordless 2 Battery 8ah and Charger Set
The Bosch Expert PRO BLUE 18v EXBA18V-80 is a high-performance cordless battery and charger set, delivering extreme runtime and maximum power for professional tradespeople.
The EXBA18V-80 8Ah Expert battery is built around advanced tabless cell technology, which reduces internal resistance to deliver instantaneous maximum power of up to 2400W. Compared to the Professional GBA 18V 4.0Ah, it provides up to 120% more runtime — a significant advantage for contractors undertaking continuous, demanding applications such as grinding or heavy cutting. The reinforced robust housing and COOLPACK 2.0 thermal management system are designed to protect performance and extend battery life on site.
The included EXAL18V-160 ultra-fast charger delivers a full charge in just 39 minutes using a 16A charging current. Active Air Cooling 2.0 and FlexTemp Charging work together to support charging across a wide temperature range of -10°C to +55°C, reducing downtime even after heavy-duty use or in cold conditions. Three charging modes — Standard, Power Boost, and Long Life — allow you to balance speed against battery longevity depending on your workflow.
Both the battery and charger feature a 5-LED charge indicator for clear, precise state-of-charge monitoring, including defect risk detection on the battery. This set is fully compatible with the Bosch Professional 18V System and the multi-brand AMPShare battery alliance, making it a versatile investment for those running mixed cordless platforms on site.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
