Definately worth using if you have a large hedge cutter as it is very easy to cut through the power cable as i did the one time i wasn't using it!

A : Hi Sarah, I'm not sure if this is what you're after but it's Bosch partcode F016800243 and is a 1 metre extension designed to connect onto Bosch hedge trimmers with a plug in cable that were manufactured before 2012
Q : How long is the cable? Thanks
A : Hi Rick, the packaging says the cable in the Handyroll can be extended out to 1 metre
