The DeWalt DCK2033X2 is a professional cordless twin kit combining a 54V XR FLEXVOLT SDS Plus hammer drill and an 18V XR combi drill, ideal for contractors and tradespeople requiring versatile drilling solutions across masonry, metal and timber applications. This comprehensive kit includes two DCB547 FLEXVOLT batteries, a charger and a durable ToughSystem case for secure transport between job sites.
The FLEXVOLT battery technology offers exceptional versatility, automatically switching voltage to deliver 54V power to the DCH333 SDS hammer drill with 3.0Ah capacity, or 18V to the DCD996 combi drill with 9.0Ah capacity. The DCD996 can also accept any standard 18V XR battery from DeWalt's range, allowing you to use smaller, lighter batteries when working at height or in confined spaces.
Both tools feature brushless motors for enhanced runtime and durability, plus integrated LED worklights for improved visibility in poorly lit working environments. The DCD996 combi drill delivers up to 95Nm of torque for demanding applications and is supplied with a side handle to provide additional control and safety during heavy-duty drilling operations.
The DCH333 SDS Plus rotary hammer offers three operating modes - drilling, hammer drilling and chiselling - making it suitable for breaking out, channel cutting and masonry drilling tasks. The complete kit arrives in a stackable ToughSystem case that protects your investment and integrates with other ToughSystem modules for organised tool storage.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
DeWalt Flexvolt
DeWalt 54v Flexvolt is the new DeWalt dual voltage system. A 54v Tool can only use 54v batteries, however your new DeWalt 54v Flexvolt battery is fully compatible with all DeWalt 18v Li-ion Power Tools as it is capable of stepping into 18v mode for this purpose.
So upgrading to 54v means you can still make use of your 18v power tool range. 54v batteries are currently available in:
6ah (18v mode) / 2ah (54v mode)
9ah (18v mode) / 3ah (54v mode)
12ah (18v mode) / 4ah (54v mode)
The DeWalt Flexvolt system opens the door to types of tool becoming available in cordless that would never have been considered before such as Table Saws.
