The DeWalt DCS382 is an 18v XR cordless reciprocating saw featuring advanced brushless motor technology for extended runtime and enhanced durability. Designed for demanding construction and demolition applications, this lightweight and compact recip saw delivers professional performance across a wide range of cutting tasks from pipework and metal section work to timber and plastics.
The brushless motor technology provides reliable, efficient power whilst the variable speed trigger enables precise control for different materials and applications. The integrated LED work light illuminates the cutting line in dimly lit areas, whilst the pivoting shoe allows operators to maintain a comfortable cutting stance even in awkward positions.
The twist-action keyless blade clamp system facilitates rapid blade changes without tools, minimising downtime on site. The ergonomic handle features rubber overmould grip for enhanced comfort during extended use, whilst the lock-off switch provides additional safety during operation and transport.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
