The DeWalt DCV517 is a cordless handheld wet and dry vacuum designed for mobile tradespeople and site-based cleaning tasks. Running on the DeWalt 18v XR lithium-ion battery platform, this compact vacuum delivers professional cleaning performance without the constraints of mains power, making it ideal for working across multiple rooms, floors or outdoor locations.
Built to withstand the demands of construction environments, the DCV517 features a heavy duty washable high efficiency filter that traps 99.7% of dust, including fine particles found in drywall and cement dust. The robust rubber hose extends to 1 metre for accessing recessed areas and confined spaces, then stores neatly on the handle to keep it out of the way during transport.
The 1.9 litre collection tank features a single latch system for quick and easy emptying of debris, whilst the wet and dry capability allows you to tackle liquid waste as well as dry debris. Whether you're clearing up after cutting, drilling or demolition work, this handheld vacuum provides efficient site cleaning without trailing cables.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance.
