Draper DAT-ASH Air Shears

The Draper DAT-ASH Air Shears are pneumatic cutting tools designed for clean, distortion-free cuts in sheet metal, plastics and non-ferrous materials. With a cutting capacity of up to 1.2mm (18 gauge) mild steel, these air shears deliver burr-free results on aluminium, tin and most plastics, making them ideal for automotive bodywork, HVAC fabrication and general metal fabrication tasks.

Built with a lightweight aluminium housing and ergonomic soft-grip handle, these air shears provide comfortable operation during extended use while helping to prevent cold-sink effect. The 360° rotating air inlet connects via a 1/4" BSP airline connector, preventing air hose kinking and allowing unrestricted movement around the workpiece. The rotating head design enhances manoeuvrability when cutting complex shapes or working in confined spaces.

Operating at 90psi (6.3bar) with an average air consumption of 5.5cfm, these air shears deliver 3,200 strokes per minute for efficient cutting performance. The handle exhaust directs expelled air away from the work area, whilst the tool's 1.28kg weight ensures good control without operator fatigue. A minimum hose size of 3/8" (10mm) is required for optimal performance.
