Faithfull No 80 Cabinet Scraper

The Faithfull No.80 cabinet scraper is a precision hand tool designed for smoothing wood surfaces to a professional finish. This traditional woodworking tool removes fine shavings rather than dust, making it ideal for achieving a superior surface without clogging the grain.

The scraper excels at smoothing difficult areas such as knots, burrs and crossed grain where conventional sanding may struggle. It's also highly effective for removing old surface finishes from large wooden areas, offering greater control than abrasive methods.

Built with a durable fine grey iron cast body and machined base, the tool features wing handles for comfortable extended use. The 70mm wide, 1.8mm thick blade is easily adjusted using a thumbscrew, which bends the blade slightly to alter the cut from coarse to fine. The blade can be resharpened with a sharpening stone and re-burred using a burnishing tool for continued performance.
