The Festool 18V High Power Cordless 2 Battery 6Ah and Charger Set provides a complete power supply solution for tradespeople starting out with Festool's 18V cordless tool system. The set includes two BP 18 Li 5.0 HP-ASI battery packs and a TCL 6 rapid charger, giving you everything needed to get straight to work.
The 5.0 Ah Li-HighPower battery packs are designed as versatile all-rounders, delivering up to 50% more power with Festool's latest generation of saws and the HLC 82 cordless planer compared to a standard 5.0 Ah pack. High-current resistant cells ensure extended runtime across demanding applications, while the integrated Bluetooth® function automatically activates a connected mobile dust extractor the moment the tool is switched on — a particularly useful feature for maintaining clean working environments in compliance with COSHH requirements.
The TCL 6 rapid charger accepts virtually all Festool lithium-ion battery packs across the 10.8V to 18V voltage range, making it a practical long-term addition to any workshop or site setup. It can be wall-mounted using the slotted holes on the rear, keeping your charging station tidy and accessible. Both the battery packs and charger are fully covered by Festool Service for complete peace of mind.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
