The Festool DFC 500 E is an 18V cordless Domino jointer designed for creating precise, twist-proof mortise and tenon-style joints in solid wood and panel materials without the restriction of a power cable.

At the heart of the system is Festool's unique pendulum routing motion, which produces accurate elongated holes for the DOMINO dowel to seat into. This distinctive jointing method combines the strength of traditional slotted and tenon joints with the flexibility of flat dowels, making it equally well-suited to fine cabinet work and robust outdoor structures.

The cordless format with its ergonomic spade handle makes the DFC 500 E ideal for on-site joinery, workshop furniture making, and frame construction where mobility and repeatability are essential. DOMINO dowels are available in cutter diameters from 4 mm to 10 mm, with two wood types covering both indoor and outdoor applications. The mitre routing capability of 0–90° extends the system further, enabling stable angled joints for frame and panel work.
