Gardena 4000/1 Water Butt or Tank Submersible Water Pump

The 4000/1 Rainwater tank from Gardena is a high performance unit with low power consumption and is designed to help save you water in the garden. In conjunction with a water butt or water tank for collecting rainwater, it enables the harvested water to be quickly and effectively pumped out into other areas of your garden- this saves you from having to go back and forth with a watering can, but is also ideal for feeding directly into certain sprinklers (like the Gardena AQUA) which only require a low bar pressure in order to work effectively.

With a 400 watt motor and a maximum flow rate of 4000 litres per hour, the pump is very efficient, but durability was also a key focus when it was designed. The glass fibre reinforced housing is especially robust and the stainless steel shaft is both strong and corrosion resistant: Additionally it has an adjustable float switch which prevents overheating by stopping it from continuing to run once all the water has been pumped out from the container. The pump is also fitted with a fine water filter which stops debris in the water from being sucked into the interior of the machine and causing damage.
