My soil is rocky and full of roots, so it was hard to get the bulb planter into the ground. In softer, deeper soil I think it would work well. Solidly built.

It's tougher than it looks in the pictures and worked quite well, even in the gravel soil I was using it in.

Q : Is this suitable please for tulips
A : Hi Susan, as mentioned in the previous response this tool creates a hole down to a maximum depth of 15cm and which is around 5cm - 7cm in diameter. As long as these are the kind of conditions you want for your tulip bulbs there shouldn't be any issues that I'm aware of.

A : Hi Graham, the Gardena Bulb Planter will go down to a maximum depth of 15cm and it is around 5cm to 7cm in diameter from bottom to top

This product carries a full 25 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables.
