Gardena CleverRoll M Hose Trolley Set

The Gardena CleverRoll M enables space saving storage of garden hoses. It is fitted with a large crank for efficiently unwinding and rewinding the hose, thereby saving time in between watering tasks. The crank has an ergonomic softgrip design for comfortable operation; additionally the CleverRoll M has a fold out kickstand for high stability while watering, ensuring the trolley remains stationary even when the hose is pulled. This kit is supplied with a choice of either a 20 metre or 30 metre hose.

The hose winds up easily - and it doesn't look as if it will ever kink. It's a pity that it wasn't made clear that it comes with the necessary fixings to connect to a tap, so I bought a connecting kit separately (though not through Tooled-up, as they didn't have one in stock). If you use the two connectors actually supplied by Gardena - one goes on the tap, the other to the side of the trolley - you would have to sacrifice a bit of the main hose: but, at least, you could choose the exact length that suits your situation, which is perhaps why Gardena expects you to cut your own length of hose. Just a pity they don't tell you. It's true that the system leaked a bit at first, at the connectors, but that was cured by tightening everything up.
