Was a bit of a fiddle to put together trying to balance solidity with easy of folding. It feels a little bit too flexible when moving it around but once opened it's pretty solid. The offset centre legs give a nice short gap at one end and the very sharp teeth actually bite into the wood holding it steady right through the cut, even with lumpy logs, so better than expected.
For the money this was worth buying but it is not easy to assemble and must be held down with my foot whilst chain sawing small and medium logs as it is too light for purpose in my view - not easy to wield a chain saw on one leg! Heavy logs help the stability issue. However, it is easy to store and quick to unfold for use. Caution recommended.
Good value for money, light weight but strong enough for logs 12'' in diameter, folds up flat for storage, only down side is small branches 2 to 3 inch diameter, can flick up when using chain saw, could do with a strap or something to hold down onto saw horse, overall very good product, would reccomend to a friend
Good budget option
For a budget item good value
This is an excellent bit of kit for the money.Even though it has teeth it needs something extra in order to hold the log more securely. It appears a liitle flimsy but this is not the case. It has handled some fairly large and heavy logs for me. Previous reviewers have complained about the assembly instructions. If you take your time, read the instructions carfully and look at the pictures on the box you should not have any problems. I recommend this product.
Good value, functional bit of kit. i like the fact it stores flat and is easy to carry to where you want to work. Best carried upside down and stored on hooks in the shed wall that way up. Assembly instructions & diagram are very basic but it is not too difficult to workout what goes where. I can see this tool lasting a good while.
Great item though assembly drawing and instructions are very poor. it performs extremely well when holding any wood for chain sawing and is easy to store and light to cart about. Overall a great purchase.
A sturdy, simple, efficient and inexpensive tool that does what you expect it to do. Relatively quick to put together (two of the bolts took a bit of strength to get into place) and solid when constructed, it folds up flat for easy storage. The toothed legs grip logs effectively and the design allows easy and safe cutting with a chainsaw. It's one of those "glad i bought it" tools and tooled-up's service was very quick and efficient.
Terrific value for money and very practical. The zig zag jaws make holding logs extremely safe. I also rate the fact it folds away for storage and its not to heavy to carry around. the only issue i had was putting it together, but then i haven't always got the right tools!
Bit fiddly to put together, but very sturdy, well made for the price, better then my wooden one, grips well no worrys about the logs rolling while cuting with chain saw.
Very pleased with my purchase - i have cut branches from 2" to 11" diameter - firmly held all sizes.
Very good value works well
Good value for the price. Easy to handle and store
An excellent product for the handyman who cuts his own logs. it folds up neatly and can easily be stored out of the way.
I did not want to spend £70 on a saw horse that will only get occasional use.So this one fits my budget. it was not simple to assemble instructions are poor. 2 braces on the outside legs would make it more sturdy, i will make some when i get a chance. i have sawn 10 logs with it and it did the job.
Rubbish. could just about read the instructions because the print was so poor. the bolts and nuts supplied are too long, leaving the whole thing shaking and unstable. Not exactly what you want when you've got a chainsaw in your hands.
Poor assembly instructions. Trust to luck and the pictures. Works itself loose after a being used a couple of times. However supports large logs better than small and allows use of chain saw.
This would appear to be an inexpensive useful tool for sawing logs. it arrived as a flat-pack for self-assembly, however the instructions for this leave a lot to be desired. firstly, there was no clear list of the expected number of parts that could be checked when the flat-pack was opened and secondly, the assembly instructions were minimal relying on a poorly drawn and labelled picture of the apparatus. when finally assembled the sawhorse is somewhat unstable and two of the screws became loosened after about half an hour's use. the screws cannot be fully tightened because the device is intended to be folded away when not in use.
Basically it's ok but it lacks side supports so if you are cutting a large log, the whole thing slides apart. It needs width restrainers which i have had to make up myself. However......It's cheap!
