There are three main types of leaf blowers – Petrol, corded electric and cordless electric. As a general rule, Petrol blowers offer the most power at the expense of being heavier and noisier and than their electric counterparts, and typically come at a higher price.
Electric blowers are much quieter and more suitable for residential areas, and are usually powered by either lithium ion battery packs, or mains electricity.
Corded variants are cheaper to manufacture as they don’t require batteries or chargers, though their obvious limitation is the length of cord they are attached to.
Cordless variants offer much more freedom, though the amount of time they can be used for is dependent on the charge in their batteries. Higher amp-hour (ah) batteries will offer the most runtime, while higher voltage machines will provide more power.
Leaf blowers can also be effective at clearing snow, dust and dirt; however please bear in mind they are not designed to shift piles of wet leaves and much better results can be obtained by waiting for these to dry out first.

Never heard of the make before but just wanted something that did the job but was reviewed well in advance rather than the standard off the shelf from the diy stores. Took a gamble and was very impressed. A substantial piece of kit for the price and cleared the leaves with ease. Used mainly as a blower to gather the leaves into piles but did use the suck part for the final clearance and it does pick up well and compresses. only used it twice for the end of the tree dropping season but looks like there are years of usage to be had from it. Excellent delivery on time as promised.

The vacuum sucks really well, i'm concerned that it might get damaged as it sucks up stones as well as the leaves, but so far so good. It was easy to assemble. I cannot compare it to other machines as this is the first i've owned but price wise it was a good buy compared to those with the same wattage. You just unzip the bag for easy emptying.I didn't bother attaching the shoulder strap as i found it light enough not to need it.All round i am very happy with my purchase.

This garden vac is very much like a handy chainsaw i purchased some months ago the build quality is superb it was easy to assemble and although not tested fully if the chainsaw is anything to go by it should be a good product, we have used tooled up on three ocasions now and will allways try them first whenever we shop on line for garden equipment or tools etc.

I am very pleased with the equipment, it does what it says on the box, assembly was quite straightforward and it worked as efficiently as i could expect. The only niggle is the awkwardness of removing the collection bag for emptying, but i got round this by not bothering and emptying it into the bin while still attached to the machine (ok for me as i am quite tall but could be a problem for those not so blessed). For the price it was money well spent.

Very pleased, only two small points - could do with a longer zip on the bag and the bag support clips should be metal as one has broken already, but saying that ease of use is fantastic, changing from blow to suck could not be easier would buy again, unlike the flymo it replaces.One happy customer.

I had a bit of difficulty in assembling this, the provided screws are of a soft metal and i needed some brut force to screw them into the plastc with the result that one screw 'froze' half way in with a sheared slot, and as it is in a recessed slot i am unable to remove or replace the screw, hence low marking as to build quality. In use you need to fine balance the unit and possibly have an extension card. i have used the unit for both blowing and sucking up leaves and debris for which it obviously does the job. hopefully the unit will be used and last and thus can recomment this item. Many years.

I purchased this vacuum as my old one stopped working.I am very pleased with it only having used it once.It lifted better than i though it would.It is easy to use and holds most of the leaves in one lot.I had a lot of leaves/paper etc.Would recommend it to anyone.

Bought this item as a 'special offer' and am very pleased with its performance in blowing away and sucking/mulching leaves. only rankle is that the screws for the 'spout' are that bit tight in the pre-drilled hole so that the heads can be ruined making dismantling/long term storage that bit more difficult. otherwise does the job perfectly.

Total rubbish. Leaves get stuck quickly in the machine on sucking them up. Clear it and just keeps happening. Pointless. Very heavy. As a blower only it may be usual for some.
