Handy THLC29140 Petrol Plate Compactor
The Handy THLC29140 is a petrol plate compactor designed to prepare soil, sand, and gravel surfaces ahead of construction and groundworks projects.
Powered by a Loncin 87cc OHV 4-stroke petrol engine, this plate compactor delivers a centrifugal force of 8,200N with an exciter speed of 5,900vpm, compacting loose material to a depth of 200mm. This level of compaction drives loose particles together to create a firm, load-bearing surface, significantly reducing the risk of soil settlement, water seepage, and frost damage.
With a travel speed of 25m/min and a plate size of 495 x 320mm, the THLC29140 is well suited to groundwork preparation, paving base compaction, and trench backfilling. The 4-stroke engine is built for the demands of regular site use, offering consistent performance across a range of ground conditions.
The compactor is compatible with Handy's optional folding wheel kit (part no: HDYTHLC31120, sold separately), which can be folded down for easier movement between job sites.

Petrol Engines
It is important to read all instructions regarding petrol products. 4 Stroke engines require oil and some machines are supplied dry (No oil to start with). Running a 4 stroke petrol machine without oil will result in the engine seizing and is not covered under warranty.
2 Stroke engines will need to have a mix of oil in the petrol this is normally 1 part oil to 50 parts petrol but not always, again please read the instructions supplied with your machine. Petrol engines do require more maintenance than electric engines but if reguarly maintained they will normally give many years of use.
