Makita 18v LXT Cordless Split Shaft Garden Multi Tool Kit
The DUX18 is a split shaft power head which was designed to be a basic, cost competitive model but with all the flexibility afforded by the Makita Garden multi tool attachments. Compatible with accessories such as hedge trimmer, line trimmer, brush cutter and pole saw attachments, the DUX18 has a soft start brushless motor, electric brake, variable speed control, AFT technology and Constant Speed control to ensure consistent performance under load. Accessories can be attached and removed without need for additional tools.
The EM404MP Makita brush cutter attachment for the DUX60 split shaft multi tool are easily fitted with a tool-less slide joint coupling with a simple clip-lock fixing the attachment securely in place. The brush cutter attachment features a steel drive shaft for less vibration and a longer life and a bump and feed trimmer head for efficient grass cutting. Can be used with the 198383-1 plastic blade set (not included).

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
