Makita A36N Aluminium Grinding Disc
Makita's A36N grinding discs were designed to out-perform all other aluminium grinding discs on the market.
The unique bond structure is a combination of grit impregnated with a substance called stearic acid. This specially formulated mix ensures lubrication is present between the grit and work surface at raised emperatures. Due to the low melting point of aluminium, problems can arise once a grinding surface reaches melting point.
The useful substance present within the bond structure acts as a lubricant to reduce friction between grit and workpiece. Lower friction = less heat build up. By reducing the heat element, there is less possibility of melted aluminium sticking to the grinding disc surface.
