The Makita DCC500 is a compact cordless disc cutter designed for professional dry cutting applications with 125mm diamond blades. Part of the versatile Makita 18v LXT platform, this brushless tool delivers exceptional performance and runtime from any Makita 18v LXT Li-ion battery.
Engineered for precision and control, the DCC500 features Automatic Torque Drive Technology that intelligently adjusts cutting speed according to load conditions, ensuring optimal performance across different materials. The innovative Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) enables seamless connectivity with compatible Bluetooth dust extractors, automatically starting extraction as soon as the trigger is pulled for a cleaner, healthier working environment.
The tool's brushless motor delivers efficient power whilst reducing maintenance requirements. An integrated LED job light illuminates the cutting line for improved accuracy in low-light conditions, whilst the electric brake and soft start enhance both safety and control. Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
