Makita DCM501 18v Cordless Coffee Maker
The Makita DCM501 is a cordless coffee maker that runs on Makita CXT, 14.4V or LXT 18V lithium-ion batteries, designed for tradespeople and contractors who need quality coffee on remote jobsites. This versatile machine accepts both 60mm café pods and ground coffee, offering flexibility whether you're working on site, in a workshop, or anywhere without mains power.
Compatible with Makita's extensive battery platform, the DCM501 delivers different capacities depending on your battery choice - from 260ml with CXT batteries up to 640ml with an 18V 6.0Ah battery. Brew times are impressively quick at around 5 minutes for a 160ml cup when using 14.4V or 18V batteries, making it practical for busy work schedules.
The unit features a robust carry handle for site portability and includes a dedicated 240ml cup designed to fit snugly in the machine, protecting against splashes and site debris. Commercial cups up to 90mm height are also compatible. Intelligent boil-dry protection automatically cuts power if water runs out and internal temperature rises, preventing damage to the heating element. The machine includes battery ports for both LXT and CXT systems, with a protective cover for the unused terminal.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
