Makita DFS250 18v LXT Cordless Brushless Drywall Screwdriver
The Makita DFS250 is an 18V LXT cordless brushless drywall screwdriver engineered for professional drywall installation and general screwdriving applications. Featuring a 1/4" hex drive shank, this tool handles 5mm drywall screws, 6mm self-drilling screws, and coarse thread fixings up to 90mm x 4.5mm with precision and control.
This screwdriver incorporates innovative Push Drive Technology that significantly reduces power consumption. With the lock-on button engaged, the motor remains idle under no-load conditions and only activates at full speed when the screw contacts the board surface. The brushless motor delivers efficient performance with extended runtime, while the silent clutch automatically cuts drive when screws are seated, preventing overdriving.
The aluminium gear housing keeps weight to a minimum at just 1.8kg, reducing user fatigue during extended use. Ergonomic soft grip handles with thumb and forefinger pads ensure comfortable control, whilst the variable speed trigger provides precise speed adjustment. An integrated LED job light illuminates the work area in low-light conditions. Available in body-only format or as a complete kit with batteries, charger, and Makpac case.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
