Powered by any battery within the Makita 40V XGT system, the DG002G offers genuine platform flexibility for contractors already invested in the XGT range. The direct-attachment spindle provides a particularly secure connection for auger bits, reducing the risk of slippage during demanding ground work.

A two-speed gearbox with variable speed trigger allows operators to match output to the material and conditions underfoot. The reverse mode helps release jammed auger bits quickly, while the mechanical torque limiter provides a critical safety function by preventing aggressive kickbacks when the bit encounters buried obstructions such as rock or root.

Makita's ADT (Automatic Torque Drive Technology) continuously adjusts speed and torque during operation to maintain optimum performance without manual intervention.
