The DGA513Z is the bare unit configuration, supplied without batteries, charger or carry case - ideal for tradespeople already invested in the Makita LXT platform who want to expand their tool collection cost-effectively. This professional brushless angle grinder is supplied complete with lock nut wrench, side handle and grinding wheel, allowing you to start work immediately using your existing 18v LXT batteries.
With its brushless motor, this model delivers exceptional runtime and durability compared to traditional brushed motors. The variable speed control dial enables precise adjustment between 3,000-8,500 rpm, making it suitable for grinding, cutting, and polishing applications. Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) provides enhanced safety by shutting down the motor if the wheel suddenly snags, whilst Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT) continuously optimises cutting speed according to load conditions.
The slim-line body with ergonomic soft grip ensures comfortable handling during extended use, whilst the electronic current limiter protects against overload. The anti-restart function and electric brake provide additional operator safety.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
