Makita DHP458 18v LXT Cordless Combi Drill
The Makita DHP458 18v LXT Cordless Combi Drill delivers professional-grade performance in an exceptionally compact design. At just 225mm from front to rear, it's the shortest in its class, providing superior balance and improved access when working in restricted spaces. The combi drill's robust construction features enhanced dust and drip-proof performance, making it ideal for outdoor applications and harsh job site environments, whilst an all-metal gearbox and chuck ensure total reliability under demanding conditions.
Twin LED job lights illuminate the worksurface from two angles, providing improved depth perception in poorly lit environments with convenient pre-glow and afterglow functions. The single sleeve keyless chuck allows for easy one-handed bit installation and removal, whilst the included auxiliary handle supports comfortable two-handed operation. A battery fuel gauge keeps you informed of remaining charge.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
