The Makita DHR281 Twin 18v LXT Cordless Brushless SDS Plus Hammer Drill is powered by two 18v Li-ion batteries in series, delivering energy to a powerful 36v DC motor drive system. This professional-grade rotary hammer combines exceptional performance with advanced features for demanding drilling and chiselling applications.
The brushless motor features a 'soft no load' function that automatically reduces motor speed during idling to suppress vibration. Variable speed control via trigger, three operating modes (rotary only, rotary hammer, and hammer only), and anti-vibration technology ensure precision and reduced operator fatigue. An electric brake provides added safety, whilst the integrated LED job light illuminates the work area.
Available as a bare unit or with dust extraction attachment.

Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
